Do environmental factors affect TRO?
Multiple studies have shown a higher incidence of smoking in patients with TRO than in patients with Graves' disease who do not have TRO.
Evidence also suggests that smokers with TRO have more severe disease than nonsmokers. The effects of second-hand smoke can only be speculated.
